I send short text messages to families who ask for them: assignment and test
reminders, a note when your student is marked absent from my period, and
occasional classroom updates. Signing this is optional and it changes nothing
about your student’s grade or standing in my class. Full details are at

You can stop at any time. Reply STOP to any message and
you are removed immediately. Reply HELP for contact information.
Your number is never shared. No mobile information will
be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional
purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent is not shared
with any third parties.
Nothing sensitive goes by text. Grades, evaluation
results, health information, and discipline records are not sent this
way. For those I will call you or use my school email.
Cost. I charge nothing. Message and data rates may apply
from your carrier, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered
messages.
How long. Your number is kept through the end of the
school year and then deleted.
