Class Text Messages: Privacy Policy
This policy covers the class text message program run by Ryan Sajdak. Last updated September 2026.
Mobile information is never shared
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent is not shared with any third parties.
What is collected
The mobile number you provide, the name of the student it belongs to, and the messages sent between us. Nothing else. No location data, no contacts, and no information from your device.
Why it is collected
To send the messages described on the program page and to answer you when you reply. It is not used for any other purpose, and it is never sold, rented, or traded.
Who can see it
Mr. Sajdak. Messages are carried by Twilio, the messaging provider, and by your mobile carrier, which is what makes delivery possible. Neither is permitted to use your number for marketing.
How long it is kept
Your number is kept through the end of the school year and then deleted. You can ask for it to be deleted sooner at any time, and it will be.
Your choices
Signing up is optional and always has been. Reply STOP to any message to be removed immediately, or reply HELP for contact information. You can also email and ask to be taken off the list, and it will be done by hand. Consent is never a condition of enrollment, participation, or grading.
Students
This program is for parents and guardians. Grades, evaluation results, health information, and discipline records are never sent by text. For anything belonging in a student's education record, Mr. Sajdak calls or uses his school email account.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is posted on this page and the date above is revised.
